Advantage Testing Foundation Math Prize for Girls

On Saturday, September 17th, the Advantage Testing Foundation will celebrate the achievements of the nation's top-performing high school girls in the third annual Advantage Testing Foundation Math Prize for Girls at MIT.

The largest math award for girls in the world, the Advantage Testing Foundation Math Prize for Girls recognizes talented young women of all backgrounds for their skills in mathematical analysis, creativity, and problem solving. Approximately 260 young women will compete for prizes ranging from $1000 for a tenth-place finish to $25,000 for first place. The exceptionally challenging exam consists of 20 multilevel problems to be solved in 150 minutes.

The awards ceremony will begin at 2 pm at MIT's Kresge Auditorium. MIT President Susan Hockfield and Advantage Testing Foundation President Arun Alagappan will address participants, their families, and supporters. Dr. Shafi Goldwasser, Professor of Computer Science at MIT, will present the keynote lecture.
