Black lives matter. Yet in recent weeks, our nation has once again borne witness to the abhorrent violence perpetrated against African Americans. Among so many others, the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery mattered deeply to the families and communities that now mourn them. As a nation, we are heartbroken by such senseless loss. And we are appalled.
